Five-star ANCAP safety rating: The Toyota Prado 250 Series received the all-important Five-star ANCAP safety rating after it was put through its paces by the Australiasian New Car Assessment Program, performing strongly in all categories.
The Five-star ANCAP safety rating is reassuring for general road users, but especially important for many mine sites, where a Five-star rating is mandatory for light vehicles that work on site.
Toyota Safety Sense integration: Toyota Safety Sense is a suite of advanced driver-assist technologies that includes a pre-collision safety system, adaptive cruise control, lane trace assist, blind spot monitor and rear parking support brake, as well as other important features including front and rear parking sensors, airbags and the very handy trailer sway control, all of which bring an increased layer of safety and drivability (especially for those that have to travel long hours over huge distances).
2.8L turbo-diesel engine: a powerful, durable, and efficient engine that delivers 500Nm of torque, allowing for a braked towing capacity of 3.5T (750kg un-braked), a step up from the Prado 150 Series.
Enhanced interior comfort and suspension: providing smoother handling on rough, uneven terrains and making sure drivers stay comfortable and focused during long shifts while out on mine sites.
FleetCrew Mine Specs can be customised to suite all above ground mine sites including BMA, MIM, Glencore, QGC, Arrow, Santos, Origin, Jemena, MMG, Anglo American and various others. VHF radios, Driver Fatigue Monitoring Systems (DFMS) and In Vehicle Monitoring Systems (IVMS) are examples of additional mine specs which can be fitted to the LandCruiser Prado 250 Series on request.
The Prado 250 Series is also available in civil spec and can be hired for short or long term periods from our branches in Brisbane, Mount Isa, Mackay, Dysart and Cloncurry and to Australia’s eastern states through our key network locations.
