FleetCrew helps to keep Mount Isa Rodeo moving

FleetCrew was proud to be an Event Partner for the iconic Mount Isa Rodeo — the largest and richest event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

Now in its 66th year, the revitalised Rodeo attracted record crowds, along with competitors from across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

Our Mount Isa branch had a busy week supporting the event, providing vehicles for the Rodeo event team, Major Sponsor Akubra Hats, Channel 9’s Today Show, as well as other sponsors and visitors. FleetCrew also assisted with the filming of an exciting project set to be released next year.

FleetCrew Co-Director Ben Harris flew out to Mount Isa ahead of the event to support local branch manager Troy Lusk and the rest of the Mount Isa crew as they managed the surge in rentals over the weekend. Visitors and locals were treated to spectacular bull and bronco rides, plus roping, wrestling, and racing events that showcased the incredible talent of both local and international competitors.

Ben, Troy and the Mount Isa crew had a great time at the rodeo, where they admired the skill and courage of the competitors, connected with other local business owners, community leaders, customers, and suppliers, and witnessed first-hand the enduring good nature and resilience that the region is known for.
